Is Strumie free to use?
Strumie is free for listeners — you can discover music, follow artists, and engage with the community at no cost. Artist accounts require a one-time registration fee of $50 with no subscriptions or monthly charges. Small processing fees apply on certain transactions such as merch sales, ticket sales, and tips.

For Artists
What does the $50 artist fee include?
The one-time $50 fee gives you lifetime access to every artist feature: unlimited music releases (singles, EPs, albums), a built-in merch store with inventory management, event creation and ticketing with QR entry, analytics and audience insights, team management with role-based permissions, a direct payout wallet, and community tools. No subscriptions, no monthly fees — it's yours forever.
Is the $50 fee refundable?
No. The artist registration fee is a one-time, non-refundable payment. This is outlined in our Terms of Service. By paying the fee, you acknowledge this policy.
What are the processing fees?
Small processing fees apply on transactions such as merchandise sales, ticket purchases, tips, and music purchases. These fees cover payment processing, fraud prevention, and platform operations. Exact rates are disclosed within the app before you set up any transaction. We are transparent about every fee — no surprises.
How do payouts work?
Revenue from merch sales, ticket sales, tips, and music purchases goes directly into your Strumie wallet. You can cash out anytime through our payment processing partner. Payouts are subject to any applicable processing fees and minimum thresholds as displayed in the app.
Can I invite a manager to help run my account?
Yes. Strumie's team management feature lets you invite managers with granular, role-based permissions. You control what they can access — whether that's uploading music, managing merch, editing events, or viewing analytics. You stay in control while your team helps you operate.
Who owns the music I upload?
You do. Strumie never claims ownership of your music, art, or content. You retain all rights to everything you upload. We only require a limited license to display and distribute your content on the Platform as described in our Terms of Service.
Am I responsible for the rights to my music?
Yes. Artists are solely responsible for ensuring they have all necessary rights, licenses, and clearances before uploading any music to Strumie. This includes master recording rights, mechanical rights, and any rights managed by organizations like ASCAP, BMI, or SESAC. Strumie is a technology platform — we do not verify or assume liability for the rights status of uploaded content.
For Listeners
How do I discover new music on Strumie?
Strumie is built around discovery. Browse artists, explore community-driven recommendations, and find fresh independent music through search and curated features. Everything on Strumie is music — no podcasts, no noise, just artists and the listeners who support them.
Can I support artists directly?
Absolutely. You can send tips, buy merch, and purchase event tickets — all directly through the platform. Your support goes straight to the artist, not through a chain of middlemen.
Is there a subscription for listeners?
No. Strumie is free for listeners. You can discover music, follow artists, build your library, and engage with the community at no cost.

For artist accounts, deletion does not entitle you to a refund of the registration fee. Certain data may be retained as required by law (such as financial records for tax purposes).
How is my data protected?

I'm having trouble signing in. What should I do?
